I’m a self-taught woodworker based in Milton Keynes. I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands, and since early 2024, woodworking has become more than just a hobby. It’s a way for me to express creativity and craftsmanship through natural materials.
I mainly work with hardwoods like mahogany, beech, iroko, oak and sapele, creating various items such as carved picture frames, wooden games, jewellery boxes and chess boards, as well as everyday household items such as chopping boards and trivets. I enjoy experimenting with contrasts, combining light and dark woods, or adding subtle details like carvings or epoxy to give each piece a unique character.
Most of my work is done by hand in a small workshop at home, and I take pride in making each piece thoughtfully and individually. For me, it’s not just about functionality, it’s about telling a story through texture, grain, and design. I’m always exploring new techniques and learning at the same time. I’m especially drawn to blending traditional woodworking with modern, artistic touches, and each piece is unique in its own way.
